The Core of LifePoint
We believe in the dignity and worth of every human being, who is created in the image of God. We believe that we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves and to work for justice and equality for all people.
We believe in the power of prayer, which is our way of communicating with God and seeking His guidance and wisdom. We believe He answers our prayers with direction, healing, peace, and blessings.
We believe in one God, who is the Creator of all things, and who is loving and just. God was made manifest in the flesh of Jesus, who was fully God and fully man. After Jesus’ victory on the cross, God came as the Spirit to fill us and give us power to overcome sin and live life more abundantly, just as He promised.
We believe in the Bible, which is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source of our faith and practice. We believe that the Bible teaches us about God’s love for us and how we are to live as followers of Christ.
We believe in the Church, which is the community of believers who gather together to worship God, grow in their faith, and serve others. We believe that the Church is called to be the hands and feet of Christ in the world.
We believe in salvation, which is the gift of God’s grace that we receive through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation is available to all who repent of their sins and put their trust in Jesus. The Apostolic Salvation Experience is summed up in Acts 2:38: “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Repentance is a change of mind, heart, and direction. Baptism is by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ. The infilling of the Holy Ghost is evidenced through speaking in tongues.
We believe in the soon coming return of Christ, when he will come to judge the living and the dead and to establish his kingdom of justice and peace.
We are a Oneness Pentecostal Church, affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International.
